Class of 1969 Reunion Update:

Thanks to those of you who have sent in your registration for the Reunion August 21-23- we have over 150 paid registrants, with many more verbally committed. The good news is there is still room for YOU, although the cost is now $50.00, but it is shaping up to be the PARTY of the decade. What else would you expect from JMHS’ BEST CLASS ever?!!!!
So this is one final reminder to send in your registration NOW, to make sure you are included.

To clarify a few details, for those who are attending, as well as those who are deciding, the following updated information is provided:

Friday- August 21
Golf
–We are limited to 40 golfers, and we still have a few spots open (10ish) you MUST send in your check for $65 NOW and let us know you’re playing.

Friday Night Social-Tyson’s Marriott 7-10 PM-very casual attire-$5.00 donation to cover room expense & bartender. Cash bar (beer, wine, mixed drinks, sodas).

Saturday-August 22
Rockin’ the Flame Room
-Vienna Firehouse-7-11 PM
Casual attire, but feel free to dress up if you’d like, bonus points for Madras shirts and Villager Skirts. Lite fare, DJ & Dancing, cash bar (beer, wine, water and sodas)
A shuttle bus will be available for those staying at the Marriott (priced to be determined by number needing the service- so email the reunion website if you are staying at the Marriott and plan on using a shuttle service)

Sunday-August 23
Picnic
- Glyndon Park -10:00 AM- 1:00 PM-Bring your own food/drinks- grills will be available (extra hot-dogs/chips are available for those out-of-towners who can’t get to the store)

Hotel
Tyson’s Marriott-8028 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, 22182-There are three Tyson’s Marriott’s- This is the one at #495 and Route #7- we have a block of rooms reserved at $79.00 per night (Plus tax, fees) Use the link in the updated registration form on the website)

One additional request: If you have any old (or new) photos you’re willing to scan and email to the JMHS69 website link- we’re trying to put together a slide show that will play during the reunion to bring back all of the old memories-so anything you have from our days at JMHS would be priceless. Additionally, especially those who can’t make it, everyone would love to see what you look like as you approach 60- so feel free to send some new photos as well!

Class of 1969 Reunion Update:

The good news is there is still room for YOU, and until July 30th the price is still only $40 per person, and it is shaping up to be the PARTY of the decade. What else would you expect from JMHS’ BEST CLASS ever?!!!! So this is one final reminder to send in your registration NOW, to make sure you are included. (Our apologies to those who have indicated they couldn’t make it, but it’s easier to send this out as a group distribution)

The updated registration form includes some additional information on the Golf Outing, Hotel information with an online reservations link, and some other details. Final details on all activities will be emailed to all attendees in early August.

Since we decided to open this event to friends and families of Class of 1969 members we are already past the halfway mark for our capacity at the Flame room and we have every reason, based on verbal commitments, to expect to SELL-OUT the Saturday Night event. Don’t delay and possibly miss out on your 40th Reunion. Send the
registration form (personal biography optional) and your check by July 31st to take advantage of the $40.00 price and assure your spot . Once we reach the Flame room’s capacity unfortunately we will have to turn people away- Don’t let it be YOU!!!! Send in your registration TODAY!

Hello Class of 1969!

We need your help! So far we have 38 accurate emails for the class of '69. Our plan is to communicate exclusively through email-To that end we hope that each of you that receive this email (or visit the '69 Reunion website) will send 3-4 emails of people you stay in touch with from the class of '69. From there we are hopeful we can extend the connections to include the vast majority of our class. Please send as many emails as you know, or if you have phone numbers call and get their email.
 
We are finalizing our plans and hope to have an e-invitation sent out sometime in April with all of the details and costs. We will have a golf tournament on Friday (late am for those who'd like to play) and an evening get-together at the Tyson's Marriott. We have reserved a block of rooms at the Tyson's Marriott, and will send out the booking information soon- the rate will be $89.00 (+tax) and our Friday Night Social will be held there as well (so if you need a room-plan on staying at the Tyson Corners Marriott). The Reunion will be Saturday evening and will be held at the newly renovated Flame Room at the Vienna Firehouse (that should bring back a few memories, albeit intoxicatedly blurred memories). We are planning on having an inclusive food, drinks (beer, wine and mixers-BYOB- for liquor) DJ, etc. price set as soon as we confirm a few costs. On Sunday we are planning a picnic and perhaps a tour of the newly renovated JMHS (if you haven't seen it you won't recognize it).   
 
Although this is the reunion for the class of 1969- the reunion committee felt that since the Flame Room can accommodate a large crowd- we are extending the invitation to any alumnae who attended JMHS while the class of 1969 was in there (so 1966-1972, roughly-but we will make exceptions) We felt that this would enable brothers and sisters, as well as friends of our class members to attend as well. Since many will be coming in from distant locations we felt it important to maximize time with all of your friends in addition to the class of '69. Additionally, the larger the number of attendees, the lower the cost for everyone.
 
So dig out the rolodex, hit the whitepages.com, and think about who you'd really like to see and FIND THEIR EMAIL!!!
